"I have been using your security seal for the last two years and I can honestly say it is just brilliant. Not only have you protected my website but the seal has increased conversion. Keep up the good work." - Mark McRae, www.tradeology.com

A US government office was using an off-the-shelf information security product to secure their main web site from internet attacks. The customer then used ScanMyServer to check the DMZ network for security weaknesses and found an undocumented database that had its SQL service open to the outside. This would have allowed anyone who gained access to the DMZ to access the database and exploit vulnerabilities in it to further gain access to the server.
"Thanks for revealing the SQL injection issue on my site. I am going to pass this information on to the folks at my web host company. I am able to duplicate it on their public demo site too so I shouldn't get the "works fine on the demo site" response." - Rus Wetherill, DownSyndromePages.com
A mid sized company had been conducting quarterly penetration tests using a consultant and had paid over $20,000 to perform each scan. As a side-check the company used ScanMyServer on their external IP addresses. "High Risk" security issues were found during the initial test, issues that would have allowed an attacker to gain full access to the main server.
"Please be so kind to forward my sincere congratulations for the excellent support and support process to your customer service management." - Thomas Buhner Bosch Siemens
A large firm developing CRM solutions for customers worldwide hosted their servers at a large ISP. To audit the defenses provided by the ISP, they used ScanMyServer and discovered a security vulnerability that would allow placement of a back door on the server. The ISP delayed repairs and within weeks ScanMyServer reported that a back door had indeed been opened, allowing complete access to the server and enabling the attacker to manipulate the information on that server. Finding this back door just shortly after it was placed saved money and limited the damage caused by this compromise.
"The ScanMyServer scan seemed to offer the most comprehensive testing. The report was easy to understand with potential weaknesses highlighted in color depending on the level of risk and links to web pages that explains workarounds, fixes and service packs. I have acted on all the suggestions and feel that I can sleep better at night." - Bjorn Hvidberg, The Salvation Army
